When The Travelling Tea Party isn’t baking, we’re scouring charity shops, eBay, boot fairs and auction rooms for the prettiest vintage china and dining accessories. The thrill of finding a new pattern or stumbling upon something unusual still excites us today as much as it did when we found our first tea set. All our china and accessories are chosen by us, lovingly hand washed and loving stored until they’re hired out. Everything is pre-loved, so there’s a certain degree of wear but this just adds to the vintage style and it also tells a story. Our hire goods are free from chips and detrimental cracks.


The Travelling Tea Party only buys English china and we hold patterns and styles from the great porcelain makers such as Alfred Meakin, Royal Vale, Colclough, Royal Standard, Midwinter, Royal Doultan, Queen Anne, Delphine, Royal Albert and Gladstone. Most of our china features delicate flower patters in pastel shades with beautiful gold gilding, although we have a couple of Art Deco-style items.

Buying vintage, pre-owned china is the most sophisticated way of recycling and we’ve spent lots of money in local charity shops, helping good causes along the way. It warms the cockles of your heart!
